This page lists upcoming projects, specifically Tabletop Role-playing Game One-Shots and Campaigns that I plan to run and stream on my Twitch channel. Depending on the locations of the players, these may be played either around a table or via virtual tabletop platforms. Once the players have been selected, we will hold a Session Zero where such matters are discussed. If you would like to be a part of any of these, please get in contact with me via the link at the bottom of the page!
Campaigns
Kobolds and Kapers
For Dungeons & Dragons, 5e; or Pathfinder
A light-hearted mini-campaign for 3-5 players. All players are Kobolds from the same warren. You’ve lived peacefully in the forest for generations – even as the “Big Folk” have moved into your area and set up a town, Pinedale, at the edge of your forest. Well, that was until last night when a group of adventurers raided your cavernous home, seeking some fabled, long-buried treasure that you have venerated in your worship, The Great Lightbringer. They killed most of your warren, but you survived. Now, your elder, Bone Reader Korsplurx needs your help in retrieving The Great Lightbringer from Pinedale. However, Korsplurx knows you’re not yet ready, and so he has devised a series of “kapers” for you to complete before you raid Pinedale and retrieve the Lightbringer.
This campaign is designed to be short, 4-6 sessions with a loose, episodic nature that revolves around the overall story. Players are encouraged to be over-the-top and goofy with characters and actions.
School for Blackcraft and Necromancy
For Dungeons & Dragons, 5e
Legends have long told of the Scholomance, a fabled school for magical studies located deep within the foreboding Carpath Mountains in northern Carpathoi that accepts only students showing the greatest potential and, oftentimes, those with dubious morality. None know its exact location, as its mysterious headmaster protects the school with a series of enchantments preventing access to those whom he has not invited to the campus. As a player, you have received and accepted your invitation to study at this school. You will be trained by the best. You will be tested physically, mentally, and spiritually. The greatest powers will be offered to you, but be warned: it has long been said that the graduation exam is devilishly difficult.
This will be a darker campaign – morally gray but not evil. Players are limited to classes that can cast spells at 2nd level. You will play a university student traveling to and attending the Scholomance. Think of this as “gothic Harry Potter with a heavy emphasis on Eastern European folklore”. Players should be prepared for creative problem-solving, mature themes (kept at a “soft R” level), and situations where there does not appear to be a morally “good” solution.
Bleakness on the Bayou
For Call of Cthulhu, 7th Edition
Deep in the bayous and swamps of southern Louisiana sits the sleepy farming town of Fifolet, a town where bartering goods and services is as common as cash transactions. From as close as New Orleans to as far away as San Francisco, reports of strange incidents all point to this nearly forgotten town as the epicenter of something larger and darker – something too dangerous to ignore even at the cost of one’s sanity.
This will be a gothic horror campaign set in the late 19th/possibly early 20th century as our team of investigators make their way into this small town in the middle of the swamps to uncover the source of the reports and then decide what, if anything, can be done to stop the encroaching darkness. As such, this campaign will feature elements of fear, horror, madness, and the likelihood of player character death.
One-Shots
Chimney Thief
A Charity One-Shot for Dungeons & Dragons, 5e
Once upon a time, there was a peaceful village named Binx situated in a fertile plain on the edge of a beautiful, glassy sea. Suddenly, that peace was broken, when a massive red dragon swooped down upon the village, slithered through their chimneys, stole their popcorn, and burned their houses down. The villagers made their way to Barkenburgh Castle where they begged their princess to aid them. Moved by the people’s plight, she and her trusted knight(s) ventured forth to slay this dragon and restore peace, home, and popcorn to the land!
This is very much a fairytle-style one-shot, lasting between 4-5 hours with the express goal of raising money for the Extra Life charity, which raises money for the Children’s Miracle Network. Viewers will be able to donate during the game and potentially impact how the story plays out. While the overt tone should be that of a “kid-friendly fairytale” the humor and whimsy will be similar to that found in Shrek.
